The Doctor wasn't quite sure why I was given the appointment as I was with the DOU people last week and am back for my 20wk scan next week but she checked the twins anyway and did my blood pressure. I said about the palpitations so I'm being referred to the heart Doctor to get his opinion. Some palpitations are normal in pregnancy but cause I'm having so many of them so often they want to make sure. That means another appointment though!
Next week we find out whether we're having boys or girls

Pro If they are able to determine the sex they'll tell me if I want to know, and from what the nurses have been saying when it's twins they love being told themselves when they sit in with the doctor doing the scan, kinda like a perk of the job
It's a blooming nightmare trying to find clothes that are neutral in colour, you'd think there would be a bigger range available with so many people deciding against finding out or not given the choice of finding out.

You're lucky that they will tell you! My sister really wanted to know and even though she is due in 2 months she only has a couple of days worth of clothes for the baby! Luckily there are a fair few of us who will be able to run out and get her a few more clothes for the baby once it's born!
I have looked at things that look like they're neutral but on closer inspection they have cars or butterflies or something on

Pro Tesco has some nice new born stuff that could be either for boys or girls, it has teddies on them but there's no pink or blue anywhere and if any of it does have any colour it usually has both of them on so it could go either way.
Think being able to go out and buy bits and pieces for a baby once their born is part of the excitement and it gives a lot of family members a chance to be useful who wouldn't otherwise have anything to do.

Pro I dunno if I'm excited or not!
I'm not the kind of person who gets excited about things until they actually happen or are just about to happen, it drives everyone mad round me, but I can't help it. I get excited when things are happening rather than during the build up and wait for it to happen.
Next Thursday morning I'll probably be bouncing about the place though!
oh I get excited way in advance of anything, me and my SiL are the same, drives everyone mad as well

I know what you mean about it driving other people mad that you don't get excited till just before or while something is happening - my brother is like that while I'm the opposite! I'm happy for you though - two little people coming into the world and soon you'll know what gender they are so can start thinking about names and whether you need pink or blue things! 
I've been buying lots of white clothes as the lemon/creamy stuff sucks. Mothercare and Boots do some cutesy bits n bobs. but then we aren't really buying stuff yet or finding out so I guess it's easier for me!

Does your hospital actually tell you then? My sisters hospital refused to tell her as it was against hospital policy
It is very irritating as we have all looked and can't find many neutral clothes! Even buggies and things like that seem to be gender specific!
