...and I can't figure out what it is!
I've looked under everything, I've moved everything and everything has been as aired as possible and still I can't figure out what the smell is.
The cat did decide to drink my glass of milk the other night and I thought she might've spilt it somewhere but it doesn't smell sour.
So confuzzled and it's really beginning to bug me now cause I can't figure out what it is.

Pro hubbie smelt it 1st last night and it's been bugging him ever since and when I come home from work I could smell it as well

Pro When my workmate was pregnant her sense of smell went totally haywire - the office smelled of marmalade at one point, apparently, and the interview rooms smelled of marshmallows, etc etc.
Or maybe there really is a funny smell in there...

Unfortunately there really is a funny smell in here, hubbie smelt it last night.
I'm thinking maybe the cat splashed milk into the wool basket, it's the only place I haven't thought of looking yet.

Pro We tend to forget she likes to drink out of our cups, she's quite partial to a cup of tea now and again, and I left the mug of milk sitting on the meter box beside the sofa. I should know better but I usually forget about it.

Pro drives me mad if I can smell something off in the house...LOL...have to find it otherwise I can't settle...turned the kitchen upside down when we arrived back from our hols because something definitely smelled off to me...turned out I'd left the end of one of my loaves in the bread bin...it hadn't gone mouldy just turned sour...LOL...apologized to my neighbour who came in and watered my garden for me and she couldn't smell anything...?? Got a very intense sense of smell...you get that in pregnancy too...

Pro It definitely smells like bad milk, but still can't find it. Have had a hunt but nothing is jumping out at me.
My sense of smell is pretty bad, so having a better one for a while could be a good thing.

get hubby down on the floor crawling round the room with his nose close to all the carpets and furniture...LOL...and resist jumping on him... GBHs...XXX

Pro I'd probably be too busy laughing at him cause the cats will interfer in his efforts, they can't help but annoy him.

Oooh we had something similar last year - smelt like sour milk at the top of our stairs, it lasted aaaages cos we just couldn't find it! I ended up scrubbing the whole of the stairs and carpets upstairs with bleach - TWICE! - before it went away!

How weird! I've had that same thing except it smells like red bull has been spilt somewhere and I can't figure out where. Doesn't help that the house is upside down due to decorating and every time you try to move something to check, the kitties are there sticking their noses in so you can't have a look yourself! I sympathise with your hubby having to deal with them!

Find it fast, we had a dead rat under our floorboards for a while until it was located by laying on the floor and sniffing - wasn't a pretty sight when we lifted the boards to get it out either!
Course it could just be your sense of smell up the swanny? x
