I didn't have band and Mummy was in the house by herself (little bro was in bed but we don't take him into account as he's a pain in the bum, but that's another story), Daddy was away for the weekend for a bike race, he marshals the road races, so thought Mummy could do with a trip out and I can't remember the last time we had spent anytime together just the two of us.
I drove down home to pick her up and then drove back up to Belfast to go to Hillmount Nursery. Love that place. It's more than just a garden centre it's full of bits and pieces and lovely present ideas, that's the place I'm going to if I need to buy an anniversary present or wedding present, that sort of thing.
We spent well over an hour there just walking up and down the plants, we just couldn't make up our minds there were so many to choose from. In the end Mummy got a few gorgeous white rose plants, they were called patio roses but they were larger than that, an orange lily for my wee bro, and a chopstick bamboo plant. I got a celery plant and a pink patio rose.
The pair of us could've gone completely mad if we had had the money so think we'll have to save up and just go back up again. Christmas at Hillmount is supposed to be amazing with the stuff they have out on display, Santa's grotto and all the trees and stuff so we'll definitely be going back up near the end of the year.
It was nice to spend some time with my Mummy just the 2 of us, we don't do it often enough. Might see what she's working over the twelfth and see if she wants to come up to Lady Dixon park for rose week with me. I'm going to go anyway and I don't think Mummy's ever been up so if she's not working I'm sure she'd love to see all the roses in full bloom.

Sounds like a great place.
