So guess what I'm doing tonight!
Need to go out and buy more flour and eggs though cause I know I'll mess everything up the 1st go but sure that's all part of the fun!

For the 1st time I'm doing the Secret Santa in work, they ran one last year but it was in the other office, not mine, but because we're both in the same building now we're joining in.
One of the girls wasn't happy with who she picked so I offered to swap with her, but I ended up putting her person back into the list of names and picking another one because I didn't want to buy something for them either - we just didn't know what to get for him! Fingers crossed it'll be a guy who picks this persons name because that would be so much better. I've managed to get one of the Bosses and I've already got his present picked and paid for from Play.com, I love that site so fingers crossed it won't take that long to arrive.

Niecey ended up with a handbag after trying on a lot of different tops that she loved and wasn't sure which one she wanted more so the handbag it was! Her Gran gave her a lot of money for Christmas so she might go back and buy the tops another day she thinks.
Got an Auntie sorted, my Bro sorted, one of my friends sorted, and Hubbie sorted. Not bad for 2 hours shopping.
Tried to get my sis sorted but I had a problem with game, I picked 2 games from the 2 for £20 section because that's where the Catz games where, couldn't find the Catz one anywhere else in the shop for ds but when I got to the till they couldn't find the game at all, so we offered to go do the rest of our shopping and come back again which we did but they still couldn't find it. Typical! The solution is always stick to Connswater, they've never had something like this happen in the Game shop there and I will remain faithful to them I think, and apart from that it's more or less across the road from work so I can just pop across when I need to so definately sticking to there.
I got my jammies and a tube of toothpaste and that's all I bought for me.
In total last night I spent £100, probably the quickest £100 I've ever spent and I'm painfully aware of how low my wages are running so fingers crossed Hubbie's pay next week will be as high as he's thinking with his overtime included in it or else everyone else in my family will be getting mince pies and cakes for their presents!

Am going to the Abbey Centre tonight with niecey and we're going to get her Christmas present sorted, buy some Christmas cards, and have a nosy round Primark for a pair of heavy jammies for me because it's baltic at night in our house because we don't know how to work the heating time clock so have to keep turning the heat off before we go to bed, it's not good.
Still need something to go with my little bro's present so might pop into Bargain Books, they had a couple interesting books on motorbikes I think he might like flicking through. After that I'll have to go to Game to get my little sis a new ds game and that'll be her Christmas present sorted. Will also have to go to Boots tonight and sort out another family members, she loves the Sanctuary stuff from Boots so that's an easy present to get sorted, no worrying about what to get her.
Hubbie is sorted more or less, just have to get his Christmas card and maybe a couple of T-Shirts from Primark, he's rough on T-Shirts so a couple from there will do him for running about in, apart from that if I spent money on a designer name he'd go crazy what's the point when Primark do perfectly good T-Shirts for much less. Not that he doesn't appreciate the thought he just doesn't understand why anyone would want to spend that much money on something when you can get it cheaper elsewhere. I can understand that.
A trip into Thorntons and that should be me! Get my Mummy's Christmas chocolate sorted and that'll do me for the night. The rest of the Christmas presents I've got pretty much sorted or else Hubbie is buying next week when he gets paid again, and for the older members of my family I shall be baking the usual mince pies, fudge, and cakes which are more appreciated than buying presents because they already have everything they want, and it saves them having to buy things in for when they have guests, plus I love to bake so it's an excuse to get rid of some stress for me. Always a good thing.

...arms are achy, head feels heavy, and I can't concentrate on anything. Not good.
I'm hoping a walk at lunchtime will clear me a little because I need to have a clear straight head for this afternoon when I sit down with the Big Boss and sort out a couple of accounts.
Think I need a fizzy drink or something to perk me up a little!

I'm completely knackered, couldn't sleep last night and it was well past half 1 in the morning before I dozed off. Waking up this morning was dreadful had such a hard time trying to shift myself it wasn't good am sitting in work here bit like a zombie.
Think when I get home and after I make tea I'll go have a shower and then curl up in bed with a book for a bit and then I'll try and sleep, though from past experience it might take me a while to fall over. Just hope his lordship doesn't come bounding up the stairs and in his efforts to be quiet make more racket than normal.
Think I'm glad I've got the car with me today it'll be quicker getting home than walking it would.

...and the people I was with bought sensible things like dog food, cat food, washing powder etc, but not me I buy stock cubes a bit random compared to the others.
Will be buying washing powder and ironing water the next time I'm up so I'll redeem myself a bit next time.
It was a good afternoon though.

...and yesterday was the 1st time I met someone in Connswater that I actually know, rather than talking to random people whilst standing in a queue.
Was all chuffed about it

Eugh.
It's only the start of November and already Connswater have posters up noting Santa's arrival on the 12th November already.
We've just finished with Halloween for goodness sake!!!!!
Seriously not amused.

I have been taken off the Accomplia tablets for my weight because of the increased media coverage highlighting the problems it creates, especially with mental health. Apparently I'm twice as likely to develop mental health problems than someone who isn't taking them.
The Doctor asked me if I noticed any difference in myself lately but when you start out wonky in the 1st place it's hard to tell whether or not your mind has gone or not!
When I go back to the Nurse about my blood pressure in December we'll go through my options about weight loss but I've done so well and have managed to keep the weight off which is brilliant, especially when I wasn't that good at taking the weight tablets now and again so I should've ballooned again but thankfully didn't.
She might not put me back on any tablets seeing as I lost quite a bit of weight, but I'm nowhere near the weight I should be, I'm still at an increased risk of Diabetes etc the weight I am at the mo (doesn't help having a diabetic father plus many other health problems in the family on both sides). Will just keep doing my best, and avoiding Kit-Kat chunkys!

It's under my desk taunting me!!!
I'm hungry and I'm really tempted to eat it but I'll be getting something at lunchtime and that's only 25 mins away so don't want to be bad just yet and ruin my lunch.
Very very tempting though!
