My Place

Normally I don't eat during the day, not because I don't want to or because I'm losing weight or anything, but because I just don't get hungry during the day at least not until 3-4pmish and when it hits that time there's no point in eating because it'll be teatime shortly then I won't be able to eat my tea.

Today is different though - today I have tuna and onion sandwiches. Very good. Couple of chopped up carrots as well, so definately very good. Of course had to have something a bit naughty so have gone for a wee pack of cookies for my snack this afternoon if I get peckish, if not they can stay here until tomorrow.

Bet hubbie will have the banners out when I get home because I'm eating during the day!

1st time in ages I wear a skirt and tights and I ladder the damn things at my desk.

How bloody typical is that!?!?!?

...and it doesn't feel like a year, the time has flown past so quickly it's a bit worrying.

Got some lovely cards and money from hubbies family, haven't seen my family yet because we only came back from Edinburgh yesterday tea-time so will be going down to see my lot this evening when we go to pick up the cats from my Mummy.

Still a bit weird being married, never thought I would be as I was the one that was going to concentrate on my career and never worry about a man until I was ready to focus on something else, strange how things turn out.

I only have the Wednesday night class until Christmas and then I start the Tuesday night class at Easter so really pleased about that.

So tech is only one night a week so that's good.

and as much as I'm loving it, I can't find anything I want to tape!!!!

I want to button push but can't find anything worth button pushing for.

Dunno what's been happening lately, it just feels like in work my days are just going past so quickly and I'm running out of time!

Half 8 yesterday morning the plumber arrived and replaced the pump which was apparently stopping the heat from entering the house, thank goodness for that!

As much as we appreciate him coming round on the weekend (though he was meant to be there last Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday) did he really have to do it half 8 on a Sunday morning? Hubbie was not amused, it would've been his 1st lie in in ages, me I didn't mind really I suppose, had a lot of baking to do so I was ok with it, cats didn't mind either because they got fed earlier too.

Nothing is appealing at the mo, might have a good tea instead, big plate full of spuds, veg and meat I think will do me rightly.

1st time Mummy-in-law will have seen the house. At least it's not as messy and as everywhere as it was when Daddy-in-law saw it on Monday night when he helped us shift stuff.

Landlady is arranging for the plumber to come out tonight and have a look at it and try and get it going for us.

Fingers crossed it'll be working tonight.

...and my tummy is starting to grumble a bit. Have been naughty today and not eaten any lunch, but I wasn't hungry at the time so no point forcing myself to eat if I'm not hungry, but should've thought about what I could've eaten now when I am actually hungry.

Maybe hubbie will have brought something for me to eat on the way down to tech tonight, fingers crossed.

Hubbie has come home early from work and he's just rang the oil company to see if they'd be able to deliver this afternoon and they are able to!

Tonight we got to sleep warm and not dreading waking up to the cold again.

Definately setting the timer to come on in the morning.

I daren't tell hubbie because I'll be getting told off for lifting what I did over the weekend and start of the week and I'm not in the mood to listen to him because if I didn't do it who would've, and I wasn't going to let him lift everything that wouldn't have been fair to him.

Not that he'll listen or understand mind you, he'll just see that I've hurt myself again and will refuse to listen to any reasoning on my part.

Both of us are a bit silly.

Hung about between two classrooms because I couldn't remember if the guy who's enrolling me was in last night or tonight, turns out it's tonight, so after that went down to the room where the class was to be held and waited for the teacher there. Had a word with him but he's not sure himself whether I need to attend the full year or just the half year starting from January so he was going to find out this morning and get back to me.

Was able to go home after that, so got some tidying done about the place, most of the clothes are hanging up on the rail now, with just the clothes in the two suitcases to sort and socks to go through and put away properly because most of them don't seem to be paired and I'm finding them everywhere for some strange reason.

Got a lot done though so not so bad.

...and boy I'm not looking forward to it at all.

I'm not even sure yet whether I should be attending the Tuesday night class now or after Christmas, no-one was able to tell me so this is what I'll find out tonight. Fingers crossed it'll be after Christmas.

Really bad, am surprised I've managed to get anything done today at all it's been that distracting.

I look forward to an early night in a proper bed.

I dread to think in what state my wedding dress is in after watching my Daddy last night crumple it up into a ball so he could shove it under his arm to take out to the car.

I was in tears when I saw him do it but I couldn't do anything about it I was too far away, all I could do was stare and try not to cry.

Not sure why it affected me so much, I mean I haven't gone near the dress since I got married and it's only a dress and it's not like I was really excited about the dress part of the wedding I was more interested in the reception and flowers (I wasn't a typical bride). I guess it meant more to me than I had ever realised.

Last night finished all the moving, the old house has been cleaned out, and our new house looks like a natural disaster zone - complete and utter mess. Boxes everywhere, clothes screwed up in a pile, cats just totally pissed off because they've no-where to curl up on.

Better gets the cats sorted 1st or else Hubbies life won't be worth living once they start on him!

Boy it's going to be cold in the house.

Weird feeling!

Nice and quiet though, no footballs banging off the side of the house when they get kicked over the fence, lovely and quiet.

Cats are a bit confused though and upset; we came back to the house last night to find one of them threw up quite badly so must buy some dry food tonight and make sure neither of them eat wet food for a day just to help settle them.

Poor kitties.

...and boy does it feel weird!

Most of our stuff is in the new house just the tv, freezer, and clothes to move tomorrow and then possibly tomorrow night will be our 1st official night in the new house.

Looking forward to it, but also feeling kinda at odds with it all but that'll pass once we're in and settled.

Well the only thing I managed yesterday was to warm up! Nothing else on my list got done, people who are chasing me for money in work managed to get hold of me no matter how much I tried to avoid them and the back room didn't even get looked at because we were in bed for half 9 last night and we decided that packing could be forgotten for the night.

Hubbie can do all that tonight while I'm out with his family decorating a room for an anniversary party tomorrow night, won't do him a tad bit of harm.

1. Warm up!
2. Get the very important form that i've been avoiding for so long off my desk as it's taking up space and the boss will be asking shortly to see it.
3. Get my printer working so I can print pictures again and smaller bits of paper that aren't A4.
4. Try and remember to buy stamps.
5. Bin all those old quotes that are taking up space.
6. Avoid people who are chasing me for money.
7. Finish tidying the clothes in the back room and sort out the clothes for the Cancer Research shop across the road from work.
8. Tidy up before my Mummy comes up on Saturday to help me tidy up!

10. Don't hurt Hubbie no matter how much he gets on my nerves tonight.

I've lived off YouTube for the past couple of days in work. I'm getting fed up with the radio, it's the same thing over and over, and that's just with the presenters not counting the music which seems so repetitive at the moment.

Every Thursday morning I know watch the latest series of America's Next Top Model which is currently showing in the US, thanks very much to Tausili who very kindly posts the episodes for all to watch. The rest of the week I switch between all my favourite singers and bands, cartoons, and comedy sketches to get me through my workload.

I can get away with this because I've had a lot of paperwork to do lately that doesn't involve me using my computer so I have something playing on YouTube but I can get my work done at the same time, if I miss something I would normally watch it over again when I get home at night or over the weekend.

A couple of my friends have posted videos and I myself have posted some as well but am willing to post some more, what's stopping me though is what to video? Am never sure, and then if I do tape something do I think it's worth putting online?

Dunno, but I still think on it.

Not sure what's up with me, could be the start of a cold or it could be just me having an off couple of hours, I'm hoping it's the latter. Can't afford to be snuffed up with the cold this weekend, I'll be in a bad enough mood as it is without a cold to contend with because hubbie will be even more protective than he normally is and we don't have the time for that!

Next week I can have the cold, that's ok.

How on earth he's managing that I dunno, he's at work most of the time and he's not long off the phone letting me know that he's working tonight again also and could be working the rest of the week as well.

He's getting stressed out about the move?! How he's came to that conclusion I haven't a clue, he's not there to get bloomin' well stressed out about it.

When he said that I didn't know whether to scream, cry, or throw something. Bloody cheek of the man, he's not doing the packing it's me that's been left with it.

I'm not a fan of Tuesdays. Most people don't like Mondays but I don't mind them because in my work not that much happens on a Monday, it all happens on a Tuesday because everyone realises on a Monday what problems they have and decide to bombard me on Tuesdays, within the office or outside it I still get bombarded in work.

Will definately be going for a dander today at lunchtime to help clear my head I think, it will be well deserved.

If Hubbie read that list he would probably agree with everything there, but I suppose it's easier for someone else to point all these traits out rather than see them myself.

Dunno how he puts up with all the egos I've seen on the show though, I'd have gone crazy long before now, especially with Jason, such a chauvinist pig, only women make desserts according to him wonder if he knows some of the world's best pastry chefs are male? Would love to slap him and I'm glad he's been put out of the kitchen. Some of the girls are rather annoying too, can't put all the blame on the guys.

... my Mummy is great cause she actually encouraged me to have it! Well I was having to sort my Daddy's paypal account out so it was a bit of a treat for doing that, it worked well.

It's taken about 7 boxes so far and that's just my books! Kitchen stuff has taken 4 boxes but to be fair they aren't that big. My handbags have taken up a crate daddy-in-law managed to get from work for us and bathroom stuff has taken up 2 small boxes that my mummy got from work also.

All that's left to pack is clothes, towels, shoes and the cats.

Will be going through my clothes tonight again to see if there's anything else that I can bin, no point in taking clothes with us that don't fit, I know there are some clothes I'm keeping for sentimental reasons so I'm going to be ruthless and get rid tonight, I'll be brave!

Hope we don't move for a long time after this.

...it's official, we get the keys to our new house next Friday, the Landlady sent us a text last night letting us know.

A week's worth of frantic packing now will have to be done but there's really not as much there as hubbie seems to think it's just that it's biggish stuff, that's all. He's working tonight and Saturday, Sunday and Monday night so I'll get some peace and quiet to sort through what I want and maybe bin some of the stuff in my own time rather when he demands it.

Am fighting back the tears in work.

I wasn't hopeful about it really but I did my best and put as much effort into it as possible but still it's not good enough. This now makes two classes I have to re-do which means another year spent at tech instead of just the couple of months I was hoping for.

Can't wait to get home tonight so I can have a good cry to get it out of my system, once that's over I won't be so down about it and I'll be working towards passing the damn thing.

The rain has hardly stopped this afternoon at all, now I'm not so sure whether I'm pleased about that or disappointed. Oh well, we've got a concert on Sunday to look forward to and this one is always sunny each year so that'll make up for it I hope.

Head's starting to get achy. Not good, thankfully it's nearly lunchtime so I get to go for a dander in the rain, that always clears my head.

We're all hoping so which is very bad of us but we aren't playing at our full strength, a few of our members are having to work so we're borrowing players from another band and that's never a good thing if we've never practised together before.

I might even be playing someone else's parts tonight which I've never looked at before so it'll be an interesting night if it goes ahead. I get to do it because I can sight read and there'll be someone there to cover the parts I play but I can't help but be nervous though I know I can play the pieces, it's just simple sight-reading I know but I can't help it.

Fingers crossed for either rain, or else a miracle to get through tonight if we have to play.

Ouchy!

Not sure why my feet are burning today, these shoes are normally ok for me to spend all day and evening in, wonder what's different about today.

Not long to go before I can go home and swap them for my Eeyore slippers, can't wait.

Found out this morning that I've passed one of the re-sits I sat last week, will hear about the other one this afternoon. Of course I did the 'Happy Dance' when I heard, really pleased about that, and relieved!

...we'll finally be getting our Sunday dinner together tonight. Only a day late, not bad.

Less than a fortnight and we shall be away from the kids torturing us with kicking their footballs into our back yard and just taking liberties and jumping over the wall when they feel like it regardless of the fact they are trespassing and being very rude.
